Trip Itinerary Planner

Trip Itinerary Planner

Plan a travel itinerary day by day. Add activities with times, categories, and budgets, drag to reorder, and export as PDF or JSON.

Trip Itinerary Planner

The Trip Itinerary Planner is a free online tool for building a day-by-day travel itinerary in your browser. Set your dates and the planner creates one tab for every day, so you can map out each activity, time, location, and cost in a single place.

Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or a multi-week adventure, you can add activities to each day, sort them into seven color-coded categories, drag them into order, and watch a live budget add up. When the plan is ready, export it as a PDF to print or share, or as JSON to back up and reload later.

Made for every traveler: solo travelers, couples, families, and group trip organizers can all use it with no sign-up and nothing to install.

How to Use the Trip Itinerary Planner

1

Set up your trip

Enter a trip name and destination, then pick your start and end dates. The planner automatically generates a tab for every day of the trip.

2

Add activities

Open a day tab and choose Add Activity. Give it a title, then add optional start and end times, a category, location, estimated cost, and notes.

3

Organize the schedule

Drag the grip handle on the left of each card to reorder activities within a day. Use the three-dot menu to edit, duplicate, move to another day, or delete an activity.

4

Review and export

Switch to the Overview tab to see total days, activities, and estimated budget at a glance. Export the finished itinerary as a PDF to share, or as JSON for backup.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a trip itinerary?

A trip itinerary is a day-by-day plan of what you'll do on your travels. It lists the activities for each day, often with times, locations, and estimated costs, so you know where to go and when. This planner builds one for you, one day tab at a time.

How do I make a day-by-day travel itinerary?

Enter your trip name, destination, and travel dates. The planner creates a tab for each day automatically. Open a day, add activities with a title, time, category, location, and cost, then drag them into the order you want. Repeat for each day and your itinerary takes shape.

Is this itinerary planner free?

Yes. The Trip Itinerary Planner is free to use online with no account required. Just open the page and start planning right away.

Can I add activities, notes, and a budget to each day?

Yes. Every day has its own activity list, a notes field, and a budget summary. Add an estimated cost to any activity and the planner totals your daily and whole-trip budget for you. Use day notes for reminders tied to that specific day.

Can I plan trips longer than a week?

Yes. The planner supports trips of up to 60 days. The day tabs scroll horizontally, so you can move between days easily even on a long trip.

How do I move an activity to another day?

Open the three-dot menu on the activity card and choose Move to Day. The activity is removed from the current day and added to the day you select.

Can I save or print my itinerary?

Yes. Choose Export PDF to generate a clean, printable copy of your whole trip to print or share. Choose Export JSON to save the raw data as a backup, which you can later import here or on another device.

Can I plan multiple trips at once?

Yes. Open the Saved Trips panel and choose New Trip to create additional itineraries. Switch between trips at any time, and delete the ones you no longer need.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Because trips are stored in your browser, clearing browser data removes them. Use Export JSON to back up important trips first. If you're signed in, your data also syncs to your account and is restored automatically.
