What is Spin the Wheel?
Spin the Wheel is a free online random picker that turns any list into a colorful spinning wheel. Add the names, options or prizes you want, give it a spin, and let the pointer land on a fair, random winner. It runs right in your browser — no sign-up and no app to install.
It works for just about any "pick one" moment:
- Calling on a student or choosing whose turn it is
- Drawing a winner for a giveaway, raffle or prize
- Making a quick decision when you just can't choose
- Adding a bit of fun to games, classes and live streams
How to use the spin wheel
Add your entries
In Quick mode, type one entry per line in the Wheel Items box. In a hurry? Pick a ready-made preset such as numbers, days, months, A–Z or yes/no.
Customize (optional)
Switch to Advanced mode to give each entry its own color, a win chance (weighted odds) and a quantity. Leave quantity blank (∞) for unlimited.
Set your options
Open Settings to choose how many winners to draw per spin, whether to remove the winner afterwards, the spin duration and sound. Need hands-off draws? Turn on Auto Spin.
Spin and reveal the winner
Click the SPIN button, tap the wheel, or press Space. When the wheel stops, the winner is shown with a victory celebration.

Frequently asked questions
Is Spin the Wheel truly random and fair?
Yes. Each spin draws a result with your browser's random number generator and the wheel never remembers or favors past spins. With the default settings every entry has an equal chance; if you set weighted odds in Advanced mode, each entry's chance simply matches the weight you give it.
How do I make my own custom wheel?
Type your entries one per line in Quick mode and they appear on the wheel instantly. For a wheel of names, paste your list of names; for numbers or dates, pick a preset. Switch to Advanced mode to add colors, odds and quantities.
Can I set custom odds (weights) for each entry?
Yes. In Advanced mode, give each entry a percentage so some are more likely to win than others. Use the Distribute evenly button to reset every entry to an equal share that adds up to 100%.
How do I pick multiple winners or remove a winner after they win?
Set Winners per spin in Settings to draw several distinct winners (up to 100) in one spin. To make sure no one wins twice, turn on Remove item after win so each winner is taken off the wheel automatically.
How do I save and share a wheel as an event link?
Click Create Event, name your draw and choose how many spins each person gets and what info they enter (name, email or phone). You'll get a shareable link, plus a dashboard to view who spun and what they won. Events expire on their own, and you can delete one at any time.
How many entries can I add to the wheel?
You need at least two entries to spin. For your own wheel there's no fixed limit — add as many as you like (a very long list just makes each slice thinner). Shared event links support between 2 and 50 entries.
Is it free, and do I need an app or account?
It's free and runs entirely in your web browser on mobile and desktop — there's nothing to install and no account to create. Your entries and history are saved locally so they're still there next time you visit.
Can I change the spin time or turn off the sound?
Yes. In Settings you can set the spin duration anywhere from 1 to 60 seconds and switch the sound effects on or off. You can also go fullscreen for presentations and live draws.
