Create multiple-choice and true/false quizzes, then play, save, or share them by link with automatic server-side scoring and a ranked leaderboard.

Build a Quiz and Share It in Seconds

Quiz Maker is a free online quiz maker that lets you create multiple-choice and true/false questions, then play, save, or share them straight from your browser. There is no sign-up and nothing to install — open the builder, add your questions, and you have a working quiz.

Made a quiz worth sharing? Create a room link and send it to anyone. They take the quiz with their name, scoring happens automatically, and you watch every result line up on a ranked leaderboard. It works for teachers running a quick class check, students building self-study sets, and teams playing trivia.

How your data flows: quizzes you build, save to your library, and play stay in your own browser — nothing is uploaded. Sharing is the one exception: a shared quiz and its takers' answers are sent to the server so scoring stays tamper-proof and the leaderboard works.

How to Make a Quiz

1

Add your questions

Type a Quiz Title and an optional description, then click Multiple Choice or True / False to add questions. For multiple choice, fill in 2 to 6 answers and click the radio next to the right one to mark it correct.

2

Set the rules

Pick a Time Limit from 30 seconds up to 30 minutes (or leave it off), and turn on Shuffle Questions or Shuffle Answers so every attempt is different. Drag questions by the handle or use the up/down arrows to reorder.

3

Play or save it

Click Start Quiz, enter a name, and take the quiz with Previous/Next or the navigation dots. Or click Save to keep the quiz in My Quizzes for later — your saved quizzes stay in your browser.

4

Share and track scores

Click Share to create a room link and send it to others. Anyone with the link can take the quiz; their answers are scored on the server. Open the Leaderboard from My Quizzes to see everyone ranked by score and time.

Instant Results & Review

Finish to see a score ring, a grade, and a correct/wrong/time breakdown, then review each question against the right answer.

Local Library & History

Save quizzes to My Quizzes for reuse and keep your last 50 attempts in History — all stored in your browser.

Import & Export JSON

Export a quiz as a JSON file to back it up or move it offline, and import one from a file or pasted JSON.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a quiz online for free?

Open the builder, type a quiz title, and click Multiple Choice or True / False to add questions. Fill in the answers, mark the correct one, then play, save, or share. There is no cost and no sign-up.

Do I need an account or sign-up?

No. You can build, play, save, and share quizzes without creating an account. Quiz takers who open a shared link also don't need to register — they just enter a name and start.

Can I add both multiple-choice and true/false questions?

Yes. A single quiz can mix both types freely. Multiple-choice questions take 2 to 6 answer options, while true/false questions are a simple one-click choice. You can add up to 100 questions per quiz.

How do I share my quiz so others can take it?

Click Share to create a room link, then copy it and send it to anyone. Whoever opens the link can take the quiz with their own name. Shared rooms stay active for 90 days.

Does the quiz score automatically?

Yes. When a quiz finishes, you instantly see a percentage score, a grade, and a correct/wrong/time breakdown. For shared quizzes the scoring runs on the server, and correct answers are never sent to a taker's browser, so results can't be tampered with.

How is the leaderboard ranked?

Participants are ranked by score, highest first. If two people tie on score, the one who finished faster ranks higher. Only the room owner can open the leaderboard, and each room accepts up to 500 submissions.

Are my saved quizzes private?

Quizzes you save to My Quizzes and your attempt history live only in your browser's local storage — they aren't uploaded. The exception is a quiz you deliberately share, which is stored on the server so others can take it.

Can I reuse a quiz or back it up?

Yes. Save it to your library to replay or edit anytime, or use Export to download it as a JSON file. You can later Import that file (or pasted JSON) to load the quiz back in.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Quiz Maker is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops, so you can build a quiz on one device and take it on another.
