What is Online Whiteboard?
Online Whiteboard is a drawing and sketching tool that runs entirely in your browser. It provides a zoomable canvas where you can draw freehand strokes, add geometric shapes, insert text, and create diagrams — all without installing any software.
Whether you need to quickly sketch an idea, create a simple diagram, or just doodle freely, this whiteboard gives you the tools to get it done. Your work is automatically saved in your browser, so you can pick up right where you left off.

How to Use
Drawing Freehand
Select the Pen tool (or press P) and draw directly on the canvas. Choose from 5 brush presets — Pen, Pencil, Ink, Marker, and Highlighter — each offering a different drawing style. Fine-tune your strokes by adjusting the Thinning, Streamline, and Taper settings.
Adding Shapes
Select a shape tool from the toolbar — Line (L), Rectangle (R), Ellipse (O), or Arrow (A) — then click and drag on the canvas to draw. Enable the Fill toggle to add a semi-transparent fill to rectangles and ellipses.
Adding Text
Select the Text tool (T) and click anywhere on the canvas. A text cursor appears so you can type immediately. Click outside the text to finish editing.
Selecting and Moving Objects
Switch to the Select tool (V) to click and drag objects around the canvas. You can select multiple objects by dragging a selection area.

Use the Eraser tool (E) and click on any object to remove it from the canvas.

What are the different brush styles?
There are 5 brush presets:
- Pen — balanced strokes for general drawing
- Pencil — thin, light lines for sketching
- Ink — tapered ends like a fountain pen
- Marker — thick, uniform strokes
- Highlighter — semi-transparent, extra wide for emphasis
Each preset comes with default Thinning, Streamline, and Taper settings that you can further customize.
How do I move around the canvas?
You have several options:
- Use the Hand tool (H)
- Hold right-click and drag

You can also zoom with the mouse wheel or the zoom buttons in the bottom bar.
