Online Whiteboard

Online Whiteboard

Draw, sketch, and diagram on an infinite canvas with freehand brushes, shapes, arrows, text, and images. No login. Export your work as PNG.

A Free Online Whiteboard in Your Browser

The online whiteboard gives you a zoomable, infinite canvas for drawing, sketching, and diagramming right in your browser. Draw freehand strokes, drop in shapes and arrows, add text, and place images — no account, no download, nothing to install.

It suits anyone who needs to think visually: teachers explaining math or ideas, students taking visual notes, designers sketching layouts, or anyone who just wants to doodle. Your canvas and settings save to your browser automatically, so you can close the tab and pick up exactly where you left off.

Private by design: every stroke, shape, and image stays in your browser. Your drawings are saved to local storage on your own device and are never uploaded to a server.

How to Use the Whiteboard

1

Draw freehand

Pick the Pen tool (or press P) and draw straight on the canvas. Switch the Brush Style between Pen, Pencil, Ink, Marker, Highlighter, Calligraphy, Dashed, or Dotted, then fine-tune the look with the Thinning, Streamline, and Taper controls.

2

Add shapes, arrows, and text

Choose Line (L), Rectangle (R), Ellipse (O), or Arrow (A) and drag to draw. Turn on Fill for a semi-transparent fill, or use the Text tool (T) to click and type anywhere.

3

Set color and background

Pick a stroke color from the picker or quick palette, adjust the stroke width (1–100) and opacity (10–100%), then choose a Solid, Grid, or Dots background in any color you like.

4

Move around the canvas

Zoom with the mouse wheel or the +/− buttons, and pan with the Hand tool (H), right-click drag, middle mouse, or Space + drag. On touch screens, pinch to zoom and use two fingers to pan. Click Fit to Screen to reset the view.

5

Export your work

Use the Select tool (V) to move or delete objects, the Eraser (E) to remove items by clicking, then tap the PNG button to download what's on screen as an image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this online whiteboard free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, it's completely free with no login or sign-up. Open the page and start drawing — there's nothing to install or register.

How do I draw and write on the whiteboard?

Pick the Pen tool (or press P) and click-drag to draw freehand. To write, use the Text tool (T) and click where you want to type. You can also add shapes, arrows, and uploaded images.

What brush styles are available?

There are eight: Pen (balanced), Pencil (thin and light), Ink (tapered ends), Marker (thick and even), Highlighter (semi-transparent and wide), Calligraphy (tapered with high smoothing), Dashed, and Dotted. Each preset sets sensible Thinning, Streamline, and Taper defaults that you can adjust.

How do I move around and zoom the canvas?

Zoom with the mouse wheel or the zoom buttons (10% to 1000%). Pan with the Hand tool (H), right-click drag, middle mouse button, or hold Space and drag. Click Fit to Screen to reset the view to 100%.

Can I change the background style?

Yes. Choose Solid, Grid, or Dots and pick any background color. The grid and dot patterns automatically adjust their tone for dark or light backgrounds so they stay visible.

Can I save or export my whiteboard?

Your canvas saves automatically to your browser, so it's restored next time you open the page. To keep a copy, click the PNG button to download the current view as an image at your current zoom level.

Does it work on a tablet or touch screen?

Yes. You can draw with a finger or stylus, pinch with two fingers to zoom, and move two fingers together to pan. The full toolbar is best experienced on a larger desktop screen.

Can I use it for teaching or math?

Absolutely. The grid background, infinite canvas, shapes, arrows, and text make it handy for explaining math, sketching diagrams, or working through ideas live. Add images to annotate worksheets, then export the result as a PNG.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes. Press Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Y to redo, or use the toolbar buttons. The app keeps up to 50 history steps.
