How to Make a Zen Garden
Pick a rake tool
Choose Rake for straight parallel grooves, Circle Rake to sweep rings around a center point, Wave Rake for undulating lines, or Smooth Sand to erase marks back to a flat surface.
Set the rake width
Drag the Width slider to set how many tines the rake has, from 2 up to 8, so your grooves can be fine and tight or broad and bold.
Rake the sand
Drag across the canvas with your mouse or finger to carve patterns. For Circle Rake, the first touch sets the center, then drag around it to draw concentric rings.
Place garden elements
Open the Elements picker and pick a stone, bonsai, lantern, or other object, then tap the sand to drop it. Each placement has natural random variation in size and style.
Style and save
Switch the Sand Color theme, toggle Day/Night for atmosphere, use Undo or Clear All to adjust, then Export your garden as a PNG image.
