Fake Broken Screen Prank Simulator
Fake Broken Screen turns any device into a convincingly cracked display. Tap or click anywhere and a realistic glass fracture spreads from that exact spot, complete with a sharp glass-cracking sound — the perfect harmless prank for friends and family.
Each crack is drawn fresh on an HTML5 canvas, so the lines branch and spread differently every time. Pick from three crack styles, swap the background (including your own uploaded image), or arm the Auto-Crack timer so the screen seems to break on its own after you hand the device over.
How to Use the Fake Broken Screen
Tap to crack
Open the app and tap or click anywhere on the dark screen. A crack appears right where you touched. Keep tapping to add more — the fractures stack on top of each other for a heavily shattered look.
Customize it
Press Esc or open Settings to choose a crack style (Spider Web, Impact, or Shattered), pick a background, toggle the cracking sound, or turn on the persistent glitch effect.
Arm the prank (optional)
Set the Auto-Crack Timer to any delay from 1 to 60 seconds and press start. Hand the device to a friend, and the screen cracks on its own at a random spot once the countdown ends.
Reset when done
Press R or tap Reset to clear every crack instantly and start over. Closing the tab also removes the effect — your real screen is never touched.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the fake broken screen damage my phone?
No. The cracks are purely a visual effect drawn on the web page with an HTML5 canvas. Your actual screen is completely safe. Press R or close the tab and every crack disappears instantly.
How do I remove or get rid of the broken screen prank?
Press R, or open Settings and tap Reset, to clear all cracks at once. Simply closing or refreshing the browser tab also wipes the effect completely.
How do I make the screen crack on tap or on a timer?
For an instant crack, just tap or click the screen. To make it crack on its own, open Settings, enter a delay between 1 and 60 seconds in the Auto-Crack Timer, press start, then hand over the device — it cracks automatically when the countdown ends.
Can I use it on iPhone, Android, iPad, and PC?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser, so it works on phones, tablets, and computers alike. Tap the screen on a touch device or click with a mouse. For the most convincing prank, turn on fullscreen mode.
Why do the cracks look different every time?
Every crack pattern is generated procedurally. The number of fracture lines, their angles, lengths, and branching sub-cracks are all randomized, so no two taps ever produce the same shatter — just like real broken glass.
Is it free and does it work in the browser?
Yes. Everything runs right in your browser with nothing to install or sign up for. Any background image you upload stays on your device and is never sent anywhere, so your data stays private.
