What Is a Crypto Profit Calculator?
A crypto profit calculator works out the exact profit or loss on a cryptocurrency trade after fees. Enter your buy price, sell price, quantity, and trading fees, and it instantly shows your net profit or loss, ROI, total invested, total received, and the break-even price.
It works for any coin or token — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, or anything you trade. Because most exchanges charge a percentage fee on every buy and sell, a trade that looks like a winner can quietly turn into a loss. This tool folds buy fees, sell fees, and flat network or withdrawal costs into one accurate figure, so you see what you actually keep.
How to Calculate Your Crypto Profit
Results update in real time as you type — there is no Calculate button to press.
Enter your trade details
Type the Buy Price and Sell Price per coin, then the Quantity. Quantity accepts decimals, so 0.5 for half a coin works fine.
Set your fees
Enter the Buy Fee and Sell Fee as percentages, plus any flat Extra Fee for network gas or withdrawals. Not sure of your exchange's fees? Tap a Preset — Zero Fee, Binance (0.1%), or Coinbase (0.6%).
Read your results
The main card shows your Net Profit / Loss in color — green for profit, red for loss, purple at break-even — with the per-coin figure beneath it, plus ROI, Total Invested, Total Received, and Break-even Price.
Open the cost breakdown
Expand Cost Breakdown to see every line — coin cost, buy fee, sale revenue, sell fee, gross profit, and extra fees — that adds up to your net result. Switch the currency picker to view it all in your preferred fiat.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the crypto profit formula?
Net profit is the money you receive minus the money you spend: (Sell Price × Quantity − Sell Fee) − (Buy Price × Quantity + Buy Fee) − Extra Fees. The calculator applies the percentage trading fees and any flat extra fees for you automatically.
How do I calculate crypto profit percentage (ROI)?
ROI is your net profit divided by what you invested, shown as a percentage: (Net Profit ÷ Total Invested) × 100. A positive ROI means the trade made money; a negative ROI means it lost money. The calculator displays it in the ROI summary card.
How do trading fees affect my crypto profit?
Exchanges charge a percentage fee on both the buy and the sell, so they cut into your profit twice. Even a small fee can flip a marginal trade into a loss. Entering your real Buy Fee and Sell Fee percentages — or loading a preset like Binance or Coinbase — gives you the true net result instead of an optimistic raw number.
What is the break-even price for a crypto trade?
The break-even price is the lowest price you can sell at and still come out even after every fee. Sell at exactly that price and your total received equals your total invested — zero profit, zero loss. The calculator computes it from your buy fee, sell fee, and extra fees and shows it in the Break-even Price card.
What should I enter in the Extra Fee field?
Use Extra Fee for flat costs that aren't a percentage of the trade — blockchain network or gas fees, exchange withdrawal fees, or any other fixed charge. Add them up and enter the total. This amount is subtracted directly from your net profit.
Does it work for any cryptocurrency?
Yes. The math is the same for every coin or token, so it works for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, or anything else. Just enter the buy and sell prices in your chosen fiat currency and the calculator handles the rest.
Can I use this for crypto taxes?
It can help you work out the realized gain or loss on an individual trade, which is useful for tax planning. Tax rules differ by country, though, so treat the results as informational and consult a tax professional for official reporting.
Is my financial data safe?
Yes. Every calculation runs locally in your browser. No prices, quantities, portfolio details, or any other financial data are sent to a server, so your information stays on your device.
