App Icon Generator for iOS, Android, Web & macOS
The App Icon Generator turns a single source image into every icon size you need for iOS/iPadOS, Android, Web/PWA, and macOS. Upload your artwork once and download a complete, correctly-sized set organized into platform folders — no manual resizing.
It is built for app developers, indie makers, and designers who are shipping to the App Store, Google Play, or a PWA and want one clean export instead of dozens of hand-cut PNGs. iOS, Android, and Web/PWA are selected by default, and macOS is one click away.
How to Use the App Icon Generator
Upload your icon
Drag and drop your image onto the upload area, click to browse, or press Ctrl+V to paste from the clipboard. PNG, JPG, WebP, and SVG are supported; a square image of at least 1024×1024 gives the sharpest results.
Select platforms
Pick the platforms you need under Platforms. iOS / iPadOS, Android, and Web / PWA are checked by default; tick macOS or untick any you do not need. The preview grid updates instantly.
Customize the look
Keep the background Transparent or set a solid color, add Padding from 0% to 40%, and choose a Corner Radius — None, iOS (22%), Circle (50%), or any custom value with the slider.
Download the set
Click Download All (.zip) to get one ZIP with every icon sorted into platform folders (ios/, android/, web/, macos/). Each file is named by its dimensions, like icon-512x512.png.

Live Preview Grid
See every icon at each size before you export, grouped by platform with clear size labels and density tags like LDPI, PWA, and Favicon.
Background Options
Keep your icon transparent or fill it with any solid color using the built-in color picker — handy for platforms that need an opaque backdrop.
Padding Control
Add safe-zone padding from 0% to 40% so your artwork has breathing room and is not clipped by platform masking.
Corner Radius Presets
One click for square (None), iOS-style rounding (22%), or a full circle (50%) — or drag the slider to any custom radius.
Flexible Input
Add images by drag and drop, file browser, or clipboard paste. PNG, JPG, WebP, and SVG are supported, and non-square images are centered to fit the square frame.
Organized ZIP Export
Download everything as a single ZIP with icons sorted into per-platform folders and dimension-based filenames for drop-in use.
Frequently Asked Questions
What image size should I upload?
Upload a square image of at least 1024×1024 pixels. The generator scales your source down to every smaller size, so a high-resolution original keeps the icons crisp at all dimensions, including the 1024×1024 App Store icon.
What format are the exported icons?
Every icon in the ZIP is a PNG with transparency support. PNG is the standard format required for iOS, Android, and web app icons. For App Store submission, note that the 1024×1024 marketing icon should not rely on transparency.
Should I add a corner radius for App Store or Play Store icons?
No. Apple and Google both apply their own rounding mask to submitted icons, so upload square icons with 0% corner radius for store assets. Use the corner radius feature only for previewing the final look or for non-store use cases.
Does Android use adaptive icons?
Modern Android uses adaptive icons that mask your artwork into different shapes, which is why a safe zone matters. Add Padding so your icon is not clipped, and the generator outputs the standard Android density sizes from LDPI through the 512×512 Play Store icon.
Can I use a non-square image?
Yes. A non-square image is automatically centered and scaled to fit inside the square icon frame while keeping its aspect ratio. For the cleanest result, crop your image to a square before uploading.
What icon sizes are generated for each platform?
iOS / iPadOS: 20, 29, 40, 58, 60, 76, 80, 87, 120, 152, 167, 180, 1024.
Android: 36 (LDPI), 48 (MDPI), 72 (HDPI), 96 (XHDPI), 144 (XXHDPI), 192 (XXXHDPI), 512 (Play Store).
Web / PWA: 16, 32, 48, 64, 96, 128, 192, 256, 384, 512.
macOS: 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All resizing and ZIP packaging happen entirely in your browser using HTML canvas. Your image is never uploaded or stored anywhere — it stays on your device the whole time.
