Frequently Asked Questions

What image size should I upload?

For best quality, upload a square image at least 1024×1024 pixels. The generator scales your image down to create smaller sizes, so starting with a high-resolution source ensures sharp icons at every size.

Recommended: Use PNG format with transparent background for maximum flexibility across all platforms.

Should I add corner radius for App Store / Play Store icons?

No. Both Apple and Google automatically apply their own rounding masks to submitted icons. Upload square icons with 0% corner radius for store submissions.

Important: Use the corner radius feature only for previewing how your icon will look or for non-store use cases. Store submissions require square icons.

What formats are included in the ZIP?

All icons are exported as PNG files with transparency support. PNG is the standard format required by iOS, Android, and web platforms for app icons.

Can I use a non-square image?

Yes. Non-square images are automatically centered and scaled to fit within the square icon frame while maintaining the original aspect ratio. For the best results, crop your image to a square before uploading.
