How to Use Image Watermark

What image formats are supported for upload?
You can upload PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, GIF, and BMP images. For watermark images (logos), any standard image format is accepted. The tool automatically handles different color spaces and transparency.
Is there a limit on image size or number of images?
There is no hard limit, but very large images (over 5000px) or many images may use more browser memory. For best performance, process images in reasonable batches.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy. This also means the tool works offline after the initial page load.
Why does the text watermark look different on different sized images?
The font size scales proportionally to the image width (based on a 1000px reference). This ensures the watermark looks consistent regardless of image resolution. A font size of 48 will appear larger on a 2000px wide image than on a 500px wide image.
This proportional scaling ensures your watermark maintains the same visual impact across images of different sizes, which is especially useful when batch processing photos with varying resolutions.
How does tile mode work with rotation?
When tile mode is enabled with rotation, the entire repeating pattern rotates as a unit. The tool automatically extends the coverage area to ensure no gaps appear at the edges, even at extreme rotation angles.
This is particularly effective for creating diagonal watermark patterns that provide comprehensive image protection.
Can I position the watermark anywhere on the image?
Yes. Use the 9-position grid for quick preset positions, or drag the watermark directly on the preview canvas for free positioning. When you drag, the position switches to "Custom" mode and shows the exact coordinates as percentages.
The Offset X/Y controls allow fine-tuning from any preset position for pixel-perfect placement.
Why can't I drag the watermark in tile mode?
In tile mode, the watermark repeats across the entire image, so individual positioning doesn't apply. Disable tile mode to use drag positioning.
Tile mode is designed for full-coverage protection, where the watermark pattern covers the entire image uniformly.
Are my settings saved?
Yes. All settings including text properties, watermark image, position, rotation, tile options, and output format are automatically saved to your browser's local storage. They will be restored when you revisit the tool.
